Hurşit Ulufi, who spent his summers working in his father’s shop in Eminönü, Istanbul, during his youth, was introduced to entrepreneurship at an early age. As one of the first graduates of the Faculty of Management Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, Hurşit Ulufi established Mert Ambalaj San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. with his father in 1982. Hurşit Ulufi, who handed over the management of the company to his children, continues to provide consulting and supervision services to the company.

Zeynep Begüm Ulufi, the Sales and Business Development specialist of Mert Polimer,represents the future of the organization. She has a degree in International and European Law with a minor in Entrepreneurship from Maastricht University. Since joining the company in 2022, she has been working hard to increase the service quality and customer satisfaction of Mert Polimer. Zeynep Begüm Ulufi currently generates 20% of Mert Polimer’s revenue from exports and aims to increase this figure to 35% by the end of 2023.

Mert Ali Ulufi joined the family business in 2014, after graduating from Sabancı University’s Industrial Engineering Department in 2011. He played a key role in modernizing the company, which was then renamed Mert Polimer Ambalaj San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. Since then, Mert Ali Ulufi has mastered the essence of the business after working closely with his father for eight years, and took over the management of the company in 2021. With Mert’s leadership, we have expanded our global presence entering new and foreign markets.

Samet Saltık is our dedicated Accounting Clerk at Mert Polimer. After having graduated from Namık Kemal University’s Department of Accounting and Tax Applications in 2018, Samet Saltık joined our team in 2022. Since joining, Samet Saltık has updated company’s accounting, inventory tracking, and reporting activities in compliance with market requirements to improve the quality of our services.
